In an extremely short time of nearly 2 months, we produced three pieces of over-sized silos, each of diameter 4 meters, length 26,8 meters and weight 17,5 tons. These silos had to undergone two types of reloading because of different traffic laws and regulations in Slovakia, Austria, Germany and England. Thanks to its dimensions, this type of product is on the border of transport possibilities. For example, loaded vehicle can´t oversize the height of 4,5 m in Germany whereas in England the maximum length of loaded trailer is up to 30 meters, maximum width 4,95 meters. Two of these three silos were transported in convoy with shortened length of the delivery time (only 12 days) in comparison to transport of the first silo (21 days).
Finally, in addition to these three oversized silos, the smallest PAC silo of weight 14 tons, length 18,3 meters and diameter 3 metres was successfully transported. This transport lasted no more than 5 days because it wasn´t classified as extremely oversized load with special permits. This transport was planned through Poland and Germany, than by ferry to the same working site in England.
It is common to plan this type of complex work even a year ahead. However the customer´s previous supplier failed and we made this job in record-breaking time. By this act we proved our flexibility and speed in the production of more difficult technological parts. Therefore, we would like to thank all employees who participated in the production and transport of this unique steel construction!
